This course includes basic safety awareness. The Training imparted at Applied Research International will familiarize the students with the following topics:
Emergency procedures on-board
Pollution prevention
Safety philosophy & safe working practice
Safe thinking & accident prevention on-board
Communication on-board, and
Inter-personal relationships and social responsibilities.
On completion of course the trainee will be able to identify potential areas of emergency that may arise in the Marine environment so that he can take effective steps to follow safe working practices, to eliminate personal injuries and accidents. The course will enable the trainee to create a conductive atmosphere on-board, communicate more effectively and will be aware of the importance of responsible living for the benefit of the individual and the ship.
Those successfully completing the course will have acquired a better understanding and knowledge of personal safety and social responsibilities as they relate to living and working aboard operational Merchant Navy ships. |
